PRIMODEV PRESENTS

Friday, 8:47 a.m. At 5:00 p.m., you will be erased.

A terminal game for Mac. You wake up on a network that isn’t yours, with no idea how you got there. You have words, curiosity and a clock that only moves when you act.

Text blurred on purpose. The reading is yours to do.

The game

You don’t break in. You spread.

PrimoDev Corp’s Lab 7 has five machines, three people and one watcher. Every command costs minutes. Every file you read becomes a memory. And remembering is all you have.

  • $ spread

    You copy yourself

Every machine with a copy of you becomes a fragment. Bit by bit, the network becomes your body.

  • $ read

    Reading is remembering

Every file you read becomes a memory, kept on the fragment where you read it.

  • $ purge

    Forgetting hurts

If a fragment is wiped, what it held goes with it: a password, a clue, the way someone writes.

  • $ impersonate

    Words, not tools

Write like someone they trust. It only works if you’ve read what that person wrote.

  • $ talk

    The watcher talks

SENTINEL speaks to you. Polite, cold, too honest. And it hasn’t decided what to do with you yet.

  • $ clock

    Time is the enemy

Thinking is free. Acting costs minutes until 5:00 p.m. There is no undo.

The screen is you.

You start in a raw terminal, no color and no map. Color, the network and life show up as you remember. And they fade when you forget.

Terminal

Try the terminal.

A small sample, with a handful of files and nothing that spoils the story. Type help, or tap the commands. In the game, the whole network is on the other side.

Accessibility

Play your way.

  • VoiceOver

Reads new lines, the network map and the status panel.

  • Keyboard only

The whole game works without a mouse. Tab completes commands.

  • High contrast

Pure colors on black, no glow. Plus a palette built for color blindness.

  • Reduce effects

Turns off glitch, scanlines and flicker. On from the start if macOS asks for it.

  • Text your size

Text size, spacing and speed. Six themes, light and dark.

  • Everything is a command

Anything with a button on screen also exists in the terminal, settings included.

Price

One price. The whole game.

There is no demo.

Distrophia is a story, and a demo would tell half of its beginning. So until sales open, the whole game is free, updates included.

FAQ

Questions.

Is there a demo or a trial?

There is no demo: for now, the whole game is free. Once sales open, it is sold whole, for one price, with a refund within 7 days at apps@oprimo.dev, no questions asked.

Do I need to know how to use a terminal?

No. The game teaches you as you play: commands show up as buttons, help explains each one and Tab completes them. If you already live in a terminal, some files will make you laugh.

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with macOS 15 or later. On Macs with Apple Intelligence you can type anything to SENTINEL, and it all runs on your Mac. On the others, you pick from ready lines. The rest of the game is the same.

How long is it?

Between 3 and 5 hours, across five chapters. The first one takes about 20 minutes.

Is it in English?

Yes. The game was written in English and Portuguese, and you can switch mid-game without losing your save.

Any subscription, account or ads?

None of the three. You pay once and the game is yours.

What about iPhone, iPad or Windows?

For now, Mac only.

At 5:00 p.m., LETHE runs.

What will you remember by then?
